U Street East Loop

To begin this tour of the Greater U Street Heritage Trail East Loop, you should be standing at Heritage Trail sign number one or the 13th Street entrance to the U Street/African American Civil War Memorial Metro Station. It is directly across the street from the old Lincoln Theatre on U Street - between 12th and 13th Streets.
