U Street West Loop

To begin this tour of the Greater U Street Heritage Trail West Loop, you should be standing outside the 13th Street entrance to the U Street/African-American Civil War Memorial/Cardozo Metro Station. It’s on the green and yellow lines. Stand at Heritage Trail Sign number one or the entrance to the Metro Station – directly across the street from the Lincoln Theatre – and begin the tour.
